MetaView Pro ("we", "our", or "the extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how our Chrome extension handles information.

MetaView Pro does NOT collect, store, transmit, or share any user data.

What the Extension Does

MetaView Pro is designed to help web developers, SEO professionals, and content creators analyze webpage metadata. The extension:

Reads metadata from webpages you actively choose to analyze
Processes all information locally in your browser
Displays SEO metadata, Open Graph tags, and page information in a popup interface
Allows you to copy or export the analyzed data to your clipboard or as a JSON file

Data Processing

All data processing occurs entirely within your browser. Specifically:

No Data Collection: We do not collect any personal information, browsing history, or usage statistics

No External Servers: The extension does not send any data to external servers or third-party services

No Tracking: We do not track your browsing behavior or the websites you visit

No Analytics: We do not use any analytics or tracking services

Local Processing Only: All metadata analysis happens locally on your device

Permissions Explained

The extension requests the following permissions:

activeTab: To read metadata from the webpage you are currently viewing when you click the extension icon
scripting: To inject code that reads metadata elements (title, meta tags, etc.) from the active page
tabs: To access the current tab's URL and title for display purposes

These permissions are used solely for the extension's core functionality of analyzing webpage metadata. No data is collected or transmitted.

Third-Party Services

MetaView Pro does not integrate with any third-party services or APIs that collect user data. The only external resources loaded are Google Fonts for typography, which are standard web fonts and do not track users.

We do not share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Data Storage

The extension does not store any data persistently. When you close the extension popup, all displayed information is cleared. Any exports (copy to clipboard or JSON download) remain on your local device and are not transmitted anywhere.

Children's Privacy

MetaView Pro does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
